4. Grant-in-Aid

This is for older persons and War veterans who are disabled and need daily medicine and a routine doctor checkup. Both a medical assessment and a means test are necessary for the grant. The amount of the grant is R350 per month.

5. Child Support Grant

This is for parents and the primary caregivers who have children under 18 years old and struggle for the child to be looked after. For the grant, they must be South African resident. The amount of the grant is R530 Plus R250 and the amount is R780 per month.

6. Foster Child Grant

This grant is for those children who are in foster care by the court order until they are under 18 years old. The amount of the grant is R 1,180 per month, and it is given to the foster parent.

7. Care Dependency Grant

This grant is for those children who are under 18 years and permanent physical/mentally disabled or require full-time care at home. For this grant, the applicant must submit medical proof. The amount of the grant is R2,180 per month.

8. War Veteran’s Grant

This grant is for Veterans who fought in World War 2 or the Korean War and the age is 60 years or disabled. They can not be live into state institutes and cant get another grant. They must pass a mean test for the grant. The amount of the grant is 2,200 per month.
